American Auto Horns travels across the United States to different junkyards and scrapyards to rescue these unique Delco-Remy® Horns from the grave. We have gone through hundreds, if not thousands of cars to find these increasingly rare and unique horns that only came on very small percentage of high-end trim level vehicles.
Every single horn is painstakingly tested, sandblasted, primed, and painted to restore it to its former glory. We manufacture our Plug-n-play wiring harnesses with 100% Copper GXL automotive primary wire, Heavy Duty Relays with Built-In 30 Amp Fuse, and Metri-Pack 150 Horn Connectors.
American Auto Horns was founded in August 2017 in a small Silicon Valley garage. (How cliché, right?) Our company resulted out of replacing the abomination that is the stock horn on a 1998 Toyota Tacoma. Toyota, and many other car manufacturers today simply put the bare minimum required of car horns. As a result, your pickup truck sounds not like a truck, but like a wimpy little scooter.
We aimed to combat this. Select rare, high end optioned General-Motors vehicles like Cadillacs, Buicks, and Oldsmobiles came with four unique horns. Each horn played a distinctive note: A, C, D and F respectively. They play together in harmony to produce the unique, distinctive, and loud American sound that vintage Cadillacs, Buicks, and Oldsmobiles are known for: unrivaled to any other horn system on the market today.
